Children’s Dental Health

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month! This is a great time to inform new and expecting parents on some tools that can help prevent childhood decay.

Expecting moms:

Visit your dentist regularly.
Brush two times a day and floss more regularly.
Cut out soda, drink water or low fat milk.
If you have morning sickness, rinse your mouth with 1 tsp of baking soda & water after vomiting to remove harmful acid, wait 30 min then brush.

For Baby:

Do not share utensils and other items.
ONLY put milk, water or baby formula in the baby bottle, no juice or sweet drinks.
Do not clean pacifier with your mouth.
Take your infant to the dentist around age 2.
